Animals is a highly underrated Floyd album. Although it is second to
Wish You Were Here in my own list of favorite Floyd albums, I really like it, and I feel that some of David Gilmour's best guitar work is on
Animals, particularly on
Pigs (Three Different Ones), where he plays the same riff over and over, but never plays it exactly the same way twice. I also like
Meddle,
Atom Heart Mother (which is available on CD...my son has it), and, of course,
Dark Side of the Moon.
I am waiting for the day when the whole Floyd catalogue gets the same SACD treatment as
Dark Side..
