I honestly have no idea. I would think at the end of the day it means they got returned for one reason or another and Denon went through them and then resold them to E-Cost.

I would not lose any sleep over it. There are more then a few people who love these things. General thought is that any problems will have been corrected by the manufacture and you now as a consumer get a great deal. As for the 3802 to 3805, I see a few differences but not much. If you like to have the latest and greatest get the 3805. I have one and I like it.
