apt-get = linux best friend

Made setting it up pretty easy, I'm just curious what settings work for other ppl to get decent recordings. I only have a 1Ghz CPU in my backend server with a software tv card (bt878) so I think I may be somewhat limited by the resolution I choose to capture at.
