Jeff, I'm another who was browbeaten by Ray and forced to get an MX-700.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad I did. I love this thing. The point I want to make is that, at first glance, the MX Editor can appear to be very difficult. I know I found it a bit daunting initially. Truth is, for some (like me) it can be a little tricky to learn. BUT! Once learned, using the MC Editor is not only easy, it's a JOY to program and use. Don't be put off by initial impressions. Once programmed, the MX-700 is the most user friendly remote I've ever used (it's my 4th universal remote). The buttons are so well laid out that, for basic functions, I almost never find it necessary to turn on the remote's light to see what I'm doing. It's a REALLY good remote, and well worth the time and effort it takes to learn how to program it.
