Some CD Players seem to 'gleem' or maybe 'gleam' by that I mean sort of a high frequency haze or something, an aural aether, an unpleasant high frequency ... something. Sparkle on the other hand is how I describe pure, open crystaline highs. For me, gleem bad, sparkle good.
