Well as tempted as I was (price wise) to pick up some mint ML ascent mains, I think common sense prevailed over exuberence. Thanks for the input mini rock, Alan, and others, especially my wife. I listened to the ML's several times at sound advice. The pair I was looking at was private party, an older man, they sold for 1600.00 and they were litterly perfect, my one bitch is I would have liked the maple rails (decor) they were black, and thats a very big all black speaker. (IMO) The last time I got "a deal" it was a pain in the a$$, with the SVS dual SS maple subs. That has all worked out, and they are incredible with the Crown amp. and the Axioms. It was just alot of hassle, and time, and frustration.

Anyhow, it was my lady that said listen, "enough is enough" "the Axioms sound sooooooooo great, everyone thats hears them has to pick their jaw up off the floor". So she says why are you trying to change something that sounds so great???? The idea of maybe having to change the 150 cc, the QS-8s, and 22 rears to match the ML design would have put me in the poor house, or even out of the house!!!

I have always loved the 60s, like anything there is always something better. The speakers sound so damm fantasic, I just need to sit back and enjoy them. That being said, I now power them with a sunfire signature bob carver cinema two amp. I did not realize what an amp of such quality can deliver, it is no surprise to hear these high end audio joints using the best amps to sell their speakers. If I could only afford the cinema 4 pre-amp (processor) to match the amp. Bottom line is the 60s sound fantasic on music, and the HT set-up is breathtaking. So no ML's for me. I love the Axioms, and IF I win te lottery, they will still fill the quest house with wonderful sound.
