This is just my opinion and I am sure many will disagree with me but I find RMS watt ratings completely unimportant. More important is peak wattage. You may find amps with 350 RMS watts but only 500 peak watts or you may find 200 RMS with 800 peak. The latter will deliver cleaner power and less distortion given the same class of amp. Peak wattage is abetter number but still not the most important one. In my opinion the most important numbers of a sub are max db and low frequency as these will tell you more about the sound you will be getting. The most important numbers for me in an amp are THD% and high current. Lots of power is nice but no good if its not clean. Once again this is just my opinion. Hope this helps.
