I've got Furman PL-8 and PM-8s (one has lights, one doesn't)... they're both around $200CDN or so, and a much better investment than a $125 Monster glorified power bar.

They're in road racks - you never know what you'll get for power on site. Easier to condition your power than to install hum buckers all over the place.

For home video, it might be overkill, you're not running triax or multistrand through cable trays chock full of other signal and AC bearing wiring, but isn't that part of HT culture? Going way too far?
