I kind of like having a carousel (H/K FL8550) as it forces me to look down spine labels when it's time to change out music. But I'm a pretty visual person... gives me that chance to say "hey, I haven't heard Helpyourselfish in a while"...

And while the H/K doesn't sound any better than the single disc consumer Sony I used to have, the build quality has been spectacular... I've had it about 4-5 years, it runs about 12-16 hours a day and has never given me any real grief - occasionally it'll "miss" a disc it's supposed to turn to and have to catch it the second time around, but for something with 20,000 operational hours on it and having been in a two-smoker household for 3 of those years, it's doing pretty damned good.
