Actually if a huricane made it to Omaha, I think rest of the country would be in very deep trouble.

We do get tornados thou. But I stopped worring about them at like age 7 I think.

I moved to Omaha a few years back from TX...I couldnt believe that it seems like every house here has a basement.

After seeing how common basements were, I spoke with my father back in TX who does a lot of work in new construction. He said digging a huge hole down there is very cost prohibitive because of the soil.

A basement in this part of Florida is called an enclosed, in-ground pool.

It brings back painful memories to come here...my home theater stuff has been packed away in my attic for almost a year now.

Moved to a house, working on finishing a basement so i have a home for it. Didnt realize how much work/money it was goign to take =)

Should have talked to Inane before i started
