Checked my tracking numbers and my speakers will be delivered today. I am leaving work in about 30 minutes to go home and wait for them as I am sure they will require a signature. I will have my nose pushed against the glass on my front door until they arrive. With my luck he will be running late and I will have permanent damage to my nose from being there until late tonight.

I will post my thoughts when I get it all up and running.

I'm doing the same thing. I expected them here today....still waiting......I'm getting depressed though, it's 3:30 and if they aren't here now, I'm guessing they won't be today.

ya waiting sucks, but my vp150 came real quick, ordered sunday, check tracker on monday, not even registed yet, i get home from work tuesday and there it is sitting in my room, a day early (expected wednesday)....i only have to go through that pain once more....qs8's in september

I'm waiting for the vp-150, two qs8's, and 3 fmb's. Killer is, i have this new Nad t773 home and I need to try it out with all the speakers before I decide to keep it or not. I'm getting very anxious

You think waiting sucks? Try getting them, and not having a receiver for another week since the old one was sent DOA.

I didn't want to take them out of the box and look, but it was too tempting. They look far better, and more classy in person than in pictures on a screen, and it makes me much more glad I went with black.

It's kind of like having a corvette outside without the keys, or watching porn with your hands handcuffed to a chair. I hope HK hurries up.

I know that we arent going to here from this guy for a while...... Personal experience would tend to dictate that theory.

You would probably be right about not hearing from me for a while if I didnt have to work for a living. I was a little disapointed when I got home yesterday because there was a door tag hanging from my door knob. I left work early because on the fedex tracking site they had an estimated delivery time of 4:30 pm. I got home at 1 pm and was too late. They tried to deliver my speakers at 9am. I had to wait until 5:30 for the truck to get back to the station to get them but I picked them up yesterday evening. By the time I got back home it was nearly 7 pm. Traffic was a nightmare! So I got a late start hooking them up. I was able to get my VP150 center and 2 M60's hooked up and gave them a spin. WOW! I was truely amazed with the clarity and volume they were cabable of. I will post more in a seperate thread detailing my set up and impressions once im complete. For now I am pretty impressed. And oh by the way...I am an inspector by trade so I am pretty good at spotting defects. I bought my speakers from the F.O. store and I could not find even the slightest blemish. Beautiful speakers! Mansfield beech with black covers.

oh and yes....TRAFFIC....tell me about it. 60 miles one way to work from NJ to New York City....its a constant nightmare. But I do it.....knowing I have my axioms to listen to when I arrive back at the home...

still never got mine. I'm so jealous right now. as of 8:52am this morning, the tracking shows they landed here in town. Killer is, nobody came to the house all day?????? Now that is irritating.

REALLY pisses me off. Killer is, there is no Fed Ex here, so it's handled by another courier. otherwise I would just find them, and get it myself.

Guess tomorrow is the lucky day....hopefully. What is amazing is that my M80's were shipped on a Friday, just like this shipment, and they got here on Monday dinner time. a couple little qs8's and a vp-150 takes two extra days? strange.

I thought I'd comment here opposed to starting a new thread - I had them for a whole 8 hours before I went nuts with the fact that I couldn't use them.

I now use the boxes as a stand for the "receiver" that weighs less than a quart of milk and have the speakers on some "stands" that were in the garage(25 year old wood contraptions that were used as a magazine stand or a chair of some sort.. I can't really tell). I had the "receiver" thing from the 11 year old kmart tape player on top of the boxes so the wiring would reach from there to the speakers. The cables are an old piece of ethernet wiring and the other RCA interconnects I cut up into speaker cables that came with my old MP3 player.

The cheap interconnects connecting my source to the tape player amp thing cost more than the stands for the tape player thing, the speaker wire, and the rest of the setup but the speaks. I should have my "real" equipment in a week along with a nice HSU sub.

So far, they sound great. When I first heard them, it was only one speaker attached. It took so long for me to get the wires cut right that I had to hear how one sounded before I went back to work with scissors and a boxcutter. I compared it to the other speaker attached to it by using the balance control, playing recordings that were somewhat even across the left and right channels. Even though the Axioms are sensitive, the one that came with the tape player went well over twice as loud at the same volume level. Yet it was so unbalanced.. and the m22tis had such a deeper bass.

I can't play it loud yet(nor will I try to with such a pea sized trashy amp), but they sound awesome. I thought they were loud, yet when I went into another room they were very low. Usually, the music is very loud in the other room when using something like the TV or a boombox as my speakers because they have to be loud for everything to come out - not the case with the Axioms.

They never blew me away. This is a good thing however. Everything sounds balanced and like it should. If this is the first speaker you're hearing in a long time(this was the case for me), they definately won't blow you awau. Once you get used to these, everything else will have too much/little treble, midrange, midbass.. etc.

I know how ya feel..... nose to the glass and all. I'm waiting on M60Ti's, VP150 and QS8's. Should be here on Thursday. Now I'm wishing I had Friday off from work, LOL

It's called the Axiom flu. It must be real because many of us have had it. Just tell the boss it's Asian but came here via Canada and it'll sound too exotic for anyone to look up.

well, my stuff is finally here as well. Wanna hear a funny story.

Last week I was expecting my Nad receiver to show up on Monday. Well, come wednesday it still wasn't here. So I started making phone calls and found out that the courier had "troubles" finding my house. Now, I live on one of the most straight forwards roads in town, and there's no trick to it at all. My house number is 166. So, the moron delivered or tried to deliver it to 16. The package clearly said 166. I found the guy, and went to the warehouse to pick it up myself. Darn nad amp ain't light either.

Anyways, this week, was expecting my Axiom shipment. Axiom ships them via Fed Ex. there is no fed ex here so Altimax actually takes it to my door. It should have been here by Tuesday. Tracking showed it here at 8:30am Tuesday. So yesterday, I stayed home..."Axiom Flu" and pressed my nose against the windows for 8 hrs straight.....no speakers.

Today, same thing...come 2pm I started getting mad. After tracking down the number to Altimax through the head quarters in another city....scrap that. they never gave me the #, they didnt want to. I actually got transferred instead. Regardless, the nice girl on the phone says the delivery guy claims that wrong address was on the package.

Now, the ones that delivered my amp were DHT courier. Never dealt with them before. So no way could this be the same guy right?

So, the moron from Altimax apparantly tried to deliver it to house #116. Thankfully the women at the door didn't accept it.

I got his number, gave him directions, he shows up at 166 this time...imagine, my house. the guy seemed really nice, seemed like an honest mistake so I start just kidding around but I do say something along the lines of ....yeah some idiot last week screwed my order up to. Low and behold, he turns red in the face and says, yeah, that was me, we deliver for DHT.

LOL

Anyways, I got them. Now it's time to play. btw, the address on all 4...count them 4 packages all said the correct address 166.

That's a bizarre story! I can't believe he didn't at least recognize your name! Must be having a bad week . . .
