any other thoughts from those of you who have heard the paradigm studios and monitors and how you'd compare them to the axioms and to which axioms?

My Axiom M22s completely kicked the stuffing out of my Paradigm Monitor 9s in every single aspect except bass. But Itook care of the bass part with an SVS sub. I am in heaven.
What's funny is I thought I was in heaven before wiyh the Paradigms...

Well, it was cool to see the woofers pumping like crazy on the 1812 overture cannon shots.
(For the record, I completely agree with Peter in regards to his previous and current speaker setup)

I agree with both of them. It was cool to see those translucent woofers going nuts, but the Axioms just blow me away every time I hear them.
