What do you think of buying a B-stock (re-built) item? You can really save big bucks, but is worth it?

I think a large number of people here have a b-stock Axiom and they seem to be very happy with it. Most of them has said that they were not able to notice any blemishes at all.
I chose A stock because I could not wait, as usually b-stock has a multi-week waiting period.

I guess its more or less what you feel comfortable with. I bought my hk230 from harman audio on ebay in may 2004 and never had a problem with it. It appeared to be brand new.
Make sure you buy from an authorized reseller so your warranty remains intact, and you don't get left empty handed. What are you looking for btw? Maybe we could help you find a receiver for a good price.

I would make sure who sells it first.... However, concerning warranty issues, I would prefer brand new, with full coverage, unless there is a big discount not to pass up...

I did buy a Denon 3805 form Dakmart (on-line dealer) and it is in for repairs. There was some question about the warrant, but I think it is all taken care of now.

Note that Axiom "factory outlet" is not the same as typical B-stock. There are no returns and no rebuilds, just factory fresh product with cosmetic defects.
Most other B-stock includes returns, refurbs, rebuilds and repairs but then again the discounts are higher than Axiom offers.

Some places can get you a deal. I got a Hsu vtf2 b stock years ago for about $150 less than online price. it had a smudge that came off w/ simple green.

Yep Brigman beat me to it, Axiom does not sell Rebuilds. F.O. speakers are brand new, but may have a small nick or blemish somewhere.
I'm still trying to find mine
