I agree. The Ascent's to have a much wider sweet spot than the Aeon and Aerius. I also agree with you on the Theater CC. If the Theater was a perfect 10, the Cinema would be a 6. Both CC's demand a good deal of breathing room though. My Ascent's were place about 58" from the front wall and about 40" in from the side, but I couldn't get the rears out as far as I wanted. My wife held on to the Ascents for a while, but eventually went with Sonus Faber. Personally, I though hard rock sounded great on the Ascent's, and techno never sounded so good either.
