I have the M22 as front. Thinking about buying the VP150 for center. How many feets do you have to have between the VP150 and the left and right M22?

the M22's should be 8 to 12 feet apart.

put the VP150 smack middle between the two, about 1/2 a foot to 1 foot behind them, to create an arc between the speakers.

Hey Ravi,

Thanks for the response! right now my M22 is about 5fts apart. So if I put the VP150 in the middle, the tweeters on each side of the VP150 will be about 18 inches away from the left and right M22. Will this be enought space, or should I opt for the M2i as a center? By the way my room is 12X10. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I understand your problem. Mine are about at the same distance right now, too.

It will still sound quite good, just not THAT good.

Get the M22's, not the M2's.

Sushi,

I sit about six feets away from the tv. I know that because of my room size I should stick with a smaller center speakers such as the VP100 or the M2i, but if the VP150 can work fine with the room I have now without being overbearing or being too dominating, I will get it and save myself an updgrade later on if I move to a bigger house. By the way, my surround is the M2i. Thanks for all your help.

Yeah, so you have an approximately "textbook" placement of your M22's, making a regular triangle. But considering the small size of your "triangle," the generous inter-tweeter distance -- which is 21", in fact longer than the distance to your M22's -- of the VP150 might adversely affect the sound imaging (although it will not dominate or anything as long as properly calibrated). If you can nicely place a vertical center speaker at all, going for an M2 or M22 as the center channel might be much better in this case.
