"WOW" is good.

I even found a new reason to say "Wow" about my M50s just last night

Underappreciated but still "Wow" for those of us who like that particular type of sound.

Do you have everything calibrated as far as the sub crossover and speaker levels/delay? Then it will be DOUBLE WOW

Also, whereabouts in Florida are you?

These Axioms are very nice, aren't they!

And...editing because after re-reading your bio you state you have M60ti's but here on the post you are saying M50's. Am I right in assuming you do actually have the M60's?

Sirquack, Its not calibrated yet I am still in the process of learning how to. I purchased a radio shack sound level meter and Avia guide to HT. I am hoping that with teach me enough to get my system above and beyond.

Question: I seem to be getting a humming sound from the sub. I took out the ground screw which made a huge difference; however, I can still hear a little hum on some channels. Do you have any advice? I read that someone had a similar problem in this message board and Alan gave advice to that person, suggesting, many things, one of which that, a balun transformer connector would fix it. Apparently, that fixed their problem, and I am hoping something that simple will fix mine.

Also, fixed that qs8 ceiling bracket problem! Instead of purchasing a $100.00 bracket! I spent $5.00 @ Lowes and bought some galvanized pipe (12") with a 45 degrees elbow. It allows the qs8 to breath (not too close to the ceiling) and it's directionally pointed perfectly!

Brother Bob, I live in Leesburg (45 minutes north of Orlando) I actually have the m50s. I made a mistake in my bio, thanks for letting me know. Do you think there is a big difference in the m60's from m50's? Worth the upgrade?

I will have Pics up soon!!!

R, on the hum problem, the first point is whether it's coming entirely from the sub or whether it's just louder from the sub because it reproduces the 60Hz hum louder than the other speakers. Set the sub(still connected and plugged in) to off and the speakers large in your 5890 to see if the hum is also in the other speakers. If it is you may have a similar ground loop problem as Jay(500)did in his thread(and apparently solved with the Parts Express isolation transformer) and should take similar steps to trace the loop. If it appears to be that only the sum hums, it isn't a ground loop an the problem is internal to the sub. If you aren't using a polarized plug(i.e. one with a bigger left prong)in a similar polarized outlet for the sub, try reversing the plug, as Alan suggested, to reverse the polarity.

Enjoy the music, not the equipment.
