It's not too bad at 188lbs...compare that to some of the larger tube TVs and it's a lightweight!
No kidding. My 36" direct-view Sony HDtv weighs a whopping 230 lbs. Moving that beast is not fun. Two years ago Sony made a 40" tube HDtv, that monster checked in at 305 lbs. Glad I didn't go that route.

Got the same set...
BigJohn can attest to helping me move that monster into our new place...
The 40" was available at the same time I purchased this one...The wife would not let me buy the 40"...Did not want the TV be the center of attention in the house.

Your wife must be related to mine. This is why I'm pushing for a house with a basement.

And mine... Me, I'd rather have a small DLP (how small do those go?) than a large, heavy tube.

WhatFurrer...it's mounted in the back. I have the very long throw Panny AE-700, designed to be easily shelf mounted.
