Hey guys I recently moved into my new house and have a dillema...I'm finding my EP350 just doesn't do the job - my room is roughly 20x18 with a sloping vaulted ceiling that is 20ft at the highest point ant 10ft at its lowest.
I was considering getting another EP350 to have 5.2
Would this be a viable solution? I am also open to upgrading, however my budget is limited to around $1100 and of course WAF is a factor - any suggestions?

Axiom may (may, I say!) accept a trade in of the 350 towards a 500 or 600. I imagine that one of those would do the trick...

Steve, it would depend on specifically what you meant by "doesn't do the job". If it's a question of loudness, a second identical sub will increase the output by 3dB if widely separated from the first one and by as much as 6dB if positioned close(within about 1/4 wavelength)to it. If on the other hand you also want extension into lower frequencies, a sub such as the EP500 or EP600 would be more effective in doing that.

My primary goal is attaining lower frequencies in the room. At the same time I have to consider the WAF so an EP600 is out of the question. I don't necessarily need an Axiom sub, however the EP500's specs do look apealing.
Thanks for the suggestions,
Steve

you could look into the hsu's or svs's i think a hsu vtf-3 mk2 would fit your needs well

EP600 would work...
I have an SVS PB12-Plus/2 in a room that is similar in size and ceiling slope...plus it opens onto a kitchen...

I think you should give the 500 a try. It is a different animal (I mean a beast) than the 350. You'll need to secure any loose objects because the 500 WILL rattle them. Give Axiom a call about a trade up. I think 70% of purchase price as trade in value - but call!

did you think about an ep600 in the horizontal configuration.. otherwise, go with the 500 if you want lower frequencies, getting another 350 will only make it a bit louder, but not actualy play deeper.... trade up the 350 to a 500 or 600, thats what i did, trade in + outlet and i think my total was around what you are looking to pay, and i got a 600.

Definitely give Axiom a call. I don't know what the deal is with trade-ins. 2x EP350 will definitely make a difference in terms of filling the room, but I imagine an EP600 would roughly match the SPLs and go way deeper than the 350s.

Just for kicks and giggles, lets say Steveo decides to keep the 350 and adds an EP500 as a second sub. I'm estimating this would probably fill the void and keep the Misses happy while staying within the budgeted $1,100.
Thoughts?
