I currently have a marantz SR6300, and a marantz MM9000 amp.. I will be keeping the amp, but am looking to possibly get a new receiver/processor.. I want something with as much video processor power as possible, I might be getting HD service, don’t know yet. Have to look at bills.. I was looking at the denon 4806, as that seems to have what I want, but I don’t know if it has the fudori (sp)? Chipset for video processing? I would say the price limit would be 4k$. I wont be buying the unit immediately probably in the next 6months to 1 year.. so if anyone knows of anything that will be coming out anytime soon, that would be an option also.. any input would be greatful.

Why do you want your audio equipment to do your video processing?

I looked into this issue before I bought a new Sony SXRD. I am presently convinced that you want the TV to do the video processing not your audio equipment.

Just one man's opinion.

The reason that I want to do video editing at the ht level, is that I have a projector, a benq pb6200. I might need to just go with a DVDO iScan HD or something of that nature.. need video switching, and possibly processing. Just want to get the best picture that I can out of my projector, with dvd’s the picture is perfect, as with HD I’m sure it will be great as well, but with regular digital cable the picture isn’t that great.
