Almost too big for me to think it will sell (given the limited delivery area and no shipping). I think it would be a select few that would be interested. Especially if it rolls off at 30 Hz.
Still, one of a kind- and quite a fitting name of Thor.

Rolling off at 30Hz is kind of a joke, isn't it?
Well, maybe that's a little harsh, but I've got to believe that anyone that would put that beast in their system (despite it's lack of extension) instead of choosing another that would be smaller and have much deeper extension is more concerned about impressing his buddies with size and not performance.
I'll take an EP600 any day.

You have to remember how old the sub is and what it was intended for......to fill the large demo areas of CES with bass. If that wasn't needed, then the sub could have be tuned lower.
Up until a few years ago, there really was not much LFE below 30hz. The majority of stuff that's makes you shake is in the 30's and 40's.

You're right. I wasn't giving it the "historical and intended use" perspective it deserved!
I'd still rather have a 600, though!

But how fun would it be to have something that large in your home theater. People would definitly know that you were serious about bass.
And I bet it does put out some serious db's (when amped to the moon) even if not down to super low extension.
Allright its shootout time! Craigsub you gotta get this thing and test it up against your arsenal of subs. After all you are the only one who's wife would allow such a monster in the house.

My listening room would "Absolutely Love" an EP500 (just a bit too small, at 16X27, for a 600 )
My neighbors however, certainly wouldn't
So while my new sub driver would be more than happy, if ported and in a bigger box, to stay flat til the low 20s, I'm staying sealed and getting really good stuff only to the low 30s. But surprizingly, it still does a good job of shaking the floor and fixtures
I envy all you guys with the really serious subs, but if I had what I wanted, I'd have to keep the gain really low to keep the knocks on the door from constantly interrupting the flicks or tunes
(I'm not completely through though; To beef up my-speaking of "historical"-ancient sub cabinet(1946)I will most likely enlargen it in the near(or maybe not-too-near)future to add some much needed bracing and a foot or more internal vol, and bring the Fb down a couple more hz.)

And that makes for, I think, the 4th posting of this project on these here boards.
Edit: underestimated, this is the sixth.

And it's still the coolest! I'm sure there are some around here who haven't seen it yet.
