Thank you all so much! I'm enjoying a very special birthday. My family is gathering to help me celebrate. My sister from San Francisco and her daughter Laura from Portland, OR are already here. We had a WONDERFUL day. We watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith tonight. Fun, improbable shoot-em-up. Good DTS sound track
Joining us tomorrow will be my brother, coming from Ft. Myers, and my sister's son Chris, his wife Lorna, and their seven month old son Dexter from Phoenix. We will have 4 generations in the same room. Too cool! That they would all make such long trips (and from warmer climates, too), means the world to me.
The friendship I enjoy here means a great deal also. I'm very grateful for that. Thanks again folks.

You're not late, Rick. It's today. Oh GAD! I really am 60 now. How the hell did that happen. I can remember when I was very young (10, or 15), I thought by the time I reached 60 I'd have "it" all figured out, and have all the answers. WRONG AGAIN! 
I don't intend to have a grave or headstone, but if I did, I would want the epitaph to be "He never did quite find the handle."

60 isn't all that bad. I recall when my dad was 50 and I was in my twenties. I thought that was old. Now I'm only 8 1/2 years from 50 myself. When did that happen?

To Steve and Lee, HAPPY BIRTHDAY (late and early). I hope your day was/is as rewarding as satisfying as mine. Happily, I'll still have all my relatives today. And my brother, sister, and niece will remain tomorrow as well. Happy times.
I owe all of you, individually, a great big thanks for your kind wishes. But, If you guys will forgive me, I'd like to single out Amie and Mary for special mention. Being with all the guys here can be a ball. But, I happen to like, and enjoy, women (on several different levels ), and sometimes I feel like we overdose on testosterone (I'd wager they feel that way too, at times). I'm grateful for their little dose of estrogen, now and then. And, though some of you may feel differently, which I can understand, for myself, I wish there were a stronger female presence here on the forum. Vive le difference!
Thanks again, to you all. Being housebound, as I am, the social interaction this forum provides is a blessing, contentious though it may be at times. I'm grateful.
