I should look before hitting that "Continue" button....

No, my friend lives up in Michigan; working on the same projects that I did; one of which is powering an aircraft, up at the cape right now, getting ready for a flight one and a sixth of the way 'round the world this week, non-stop and un-refueled to set a new record! Pretty cool!

I'm not all that familiar with the Maule; but the J3 sure got my attention!!

If I could have had a perfect life, with two good eyes; all my amps would have had tubes and my aircraft all would be taildraggers!

....although my wife always insisted that if I wanted her to, she'd have done the landings!
Rich.

Woah...wait a minute!

How can you find the time to sneak in all those hours flying, what with spending all those hours behind the wheel getting to and from work everyday and log all these hours on-line, in just one lifetime!!

"GOOD GOSH!!" THREE times tonight!! I'm more than just a little impressed!!
Rich.

Wow...would your friend be the one and only Steve Fossett flying the Global Flyer? That's cool as beans Rich! Now it's my turn to say 'Gosh'!

No, Rick; Steve isn't the friend in question, but he IS flying one of our friend Burts' aircraft with one of "our" engines pushing it! And yup, the Global Flyer is the one!!

I'd like to see Ian get a private jet with a couple of these dandy little powerplants on board, so he and Amie can fly without a second pilot taking up Amies' seat! One of the very few jets that are rated for single pilot operation!

Geez....I should't have retired so early....I was havin' too much fun!!

....but the wife couldn't handle the cold anymore.

(sigh)
Rich.

I am 3+ hours (190+ miles) each way. It would be a day trip. Not down highway 41 ( Highway 41 is nowhere near Lexington) but west on the Bluegrass parkway then the West Ky Parkway.

It would be nice to meet a fellow Axiom owner, but it's a little far.

Granted you guys got the miles, but when I used to travel from Orange county to L.A. ( about 45 miles) at peak times my record was 4 hours.

Worst I had was 3 hours from downtown San Francisco to the middle of Oakland, a distance of less than 17 miles. San Francisco traffic sucks.

That said, LA traffic also sucks.

Thank God for the heartland where the drive to work is 5-10 minutes.

I drive 7 miles to work and it takes me about 15 minutes, door to door. In California, I was driving 2 miles, so I'm really bummed about the increase in my commute time.

I had about twelve and a half miles to work and it generally took between twenty to fortyfive minutes depending on how hard it were snowing and which way and how hard the wind was blowing, and if I got behind a gravel train or schoolbus.

Average was about thirtyfive minutes; not counting taking a shower after I got there.
