It's been almost a solid month since I've listened to anything on my Axioms. They're sitting in boxes at my parents place, although my dad is now using the M3's.

I originally thought I wouldn't miss them, but I really do. Listening to everything on Grado SR60 headphones, which are quite good, or my PC speakers, which aren't very good at all (I can't tell the difference between Peter Murphy and Axl Rose!!), is really getting annoying.

Hopefully I'll appreciate them even more once my living arrangements will allow for audio equipement of that size and loudness

enjoy your Axioms, you're all spoiled!

I totally agree with you on this one. I'm spoilt bad by the Axioms. Any music I listen to at a friend's place or in the stores automatically makes me think "Man, this would sound great at home". After I've listened to Enigma's MCMXC AD on the Axioms, I know I'll never get that hypnotic imaging on any other speaker.

Enjoy the absence of your Axioms while it lasts. You're going to enjoy them a lot more once you've hooked them up.

Just think of this experience as akin to "cleansing your palate." The more of a tasty dish you eat, the more bland each subsequent bite will seem to taste. This is because your brain has become desensitized to the flavor. Perhaps the same phenomenon happens to our ears.

You should consider yourself lucky. By the time you get your Axioms back, they should sound like gold!
