I've been having trouble with my SW (not working) and want to check the cable to see if that's the problem. Is it a special cable or could I use a standard RCA audio cable in it's place even if it were just to see if I get sound from the speaker? Thanks!

A "sub cable" is normally made of coax cable and offers better shielding than a standard interconnect. You can use a regular cable in place of a sub cable, there should be no problems doing so.

Thanks Rick! If it works I'll buy a good cable for it, thanks for the help!

Yes, one of your "standard" cables should work for a test. There is really nothing magic about a subwoofer cable.
