okay I'm thinking of upgrading from the M22i's to a floor standing speaker. M22i's are just not getting it as far as the wife is concerned looking for a better overall bass and mid range sound. Which floor standing speaker should i go with in any one's opinion.

Others here can correct me if I'm wrong, but, I don't think you're going to find a better midrange by upgrading to the M60ti. I think the difference between the M22 and the M60 lies in the extended bass of the floorstander and its ability to play louder. Since the M80s have two of everything, that might be the beasts your wife is looking for. By the way, I have the M22s and my wife likes them fine. I wish she hated them, though.

Are you using a sub with your m22's? I love my m60's. You will get better overall bass performance compared to the m22's, but the midrange/treble should be comparable. The m50's are decent as well.

Kinda like the m60's and the m80's, however, in that case the m80's are insanely louder, I can hear ya clear over here in Iowa Rick.

Yes I use the EP-350 nice sub freat on movies. It's the music that the M22's are kinda lacking in.

When I went from M3s to M50s, I noticed something that can't really be quantified.

Not only did the M50s "look" bigger. They "sounded" bigger as well. Maybe "presence" is another unquantifiable term.

.....to "me" in "my" room......YMMV.

I totally agree that this happens a lot in audio.
