I plan on getting a HK AVR635 or A Denon AVR2106. For speakers I want to get a set of M50 v2's, a VP100 v2, and a set of W2's for the rears. The room is 16x17 with a cathedral ceiling. Do any of you see any flaws in the components and secondly do you think i would need to get a sub also?
Thanks in advance---Scott

I think that the answer for the sub depends on whether you like real low, boomy bass.

I think the answer depends on whether you're planning on home theatre. If you are, a sub is pretty much a must. If you aren't, and the music you listen to has low bass (and I mean low), a sub will fill that in nicely.

I agree, for movie watching and getting dynamic effects a sub is a must.

As the others have mentioned, for HT a big YES, for music it is optional, however, I do enjoy the sub for both situations.

Thanks guys. I am cutting the hole in the wall for the speaker connections for the sub as we speak. However I will have to wait a little to save a little more. LOL
Thanks-Scott

Not sure if this is allowed, but if you want to save $$$ I just upgraded my VP100 to a VP150 and would sell my mint condition VP100 at %50 save you a $150 towards a sub.
depending on where you live shipping may be costly but figure on around $25. Oh it is the Dark Rosewood color
