I've had my 60's for nearly 3 years now , they replaced a pair of Paradigm 7se v2. I have a 2 channel basement system in a room approx 19L x 12W which is part of a backwards L shaped room overall, with the remainder of the room being 13L x 12 W.
I've spent many a night downstairs listening to my system and always walk away admiring the midrange clarity , imaging and soundstage that these baby's have .
But what really impresses me about these speakers is when I slide my 3- 24x60" windows open down there , crank it up ( within reason) grab a cold one and go and sit in my detached garage enjoying the weather and listening in , it is truly amazing. You could swear that the band is down there playing, I've spent many a summer day enjoying my Axiom's and I think tomorrow is looking like one of those day's.
Cheers
Al

I've had my Axioms for a month now and what I really love about them is the ability to feel the music. I can feel the bass and this makes a huge difference. My old system didn't have the power, so this is new to me. CRANK IT UP!!!

Yes I have really good neighbors, the people that live in behind me are hardly ever there ,the same goes for my neighbor on one side of me, and the other, well very very nice lady who's hearing isn't very good.

Again midrange clarity and imaging , when I first setup my Axioms it took me a litte time to get their placement right , but once I did boy was I ever rewarded.
To me these speaker's play with much more detail than my Paradigm's ever did.
I had my 7's for nearly 10 years and enjoyed them, that speaker was my first taste of good hifi, I was hooked.
I was actually hoping to upgrade to the Studio Series before stumbling across some Axiom's at a local retailer, so I did some research.
I should also mention that I never did audition Paradigm's Studio line , honestly I couldn't afford them.
So when I read about people comparing the Axiom's to the Studio line, I went and auditioned and bought them.
Hope this helps.

This is going to sound goofy, but in addition to how they sound, I love how they smell! I'm not sure what it is - maybe it's 'factory air' or the veneer or something from inside the speakers. But walking in the room to turn on the system is pleasant, and it is intensified when the sub has gotten a workout. Sort of an earthy, woodsy smell. Maybe a cross between wood and that new car smell. Odd, eh?

Not at all.... I loved the smell as well!
I find when I REALLY crank the system, I get the smell back.... likely from pushing so much air through the sub!

I've been through 7 speaker systems in past 12 years and this is THE only time I can say I've noticed a incredible difference accross the board from all channels of sound (7.1). The amount of sonic information, depth, clarity, and seperation continually takes me by surprise. Each viewing or listing brings on a new discovery and pleasure. ...not to mention how great the spakers look too! Oh, and smell, it takes me back to when I built models as a kid.

I know this is the stereo board but I think I have to make it a point to watch more movies with good surround sound. After several movies that are mediocre in that area I start to wonder if its the system! Dropping in 'House of the Flying Daggers' clears it all up tho...
