Over the weekend I got to see the new Disney/Pixar movie Cars and it is truly an excellent production. The story line was good and the animation was superb. I have to believe that some actors pulling down 20 mil a movie should be getting a little nervous about how well this computer animation is going. Some of the scenic shots in this movie were as true to life as I have seen. The only down side was thinking about how much better it would sound if I was at home. Check it out if you get the chance.

I'm looking forward to taking my 7yr old to this movie. How is the LFE? Can't wait to try it at home with my EP500.

There is good LFE potential in this movie but the theater seemed a little anemic. I think this is a side effect of owning an EP500.

I too have been curious how this movie was going to turn out, but should we expect less from Disney/Pixar? Thanks for sharing Pete.

We're also *patiently* waiting for Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: 'Dead Man's Chest' to come out, the first one (Curse of the Black Pearl) was great.

Yes, thanks Pete for sharing. I've heard nothing but praise for this film. It sounds great.

I saw it this past weekend as well...with my 8 yr old and 6 yr old. Fun movie, I think geared a little more for the older kids......also rather long for a animated movie, 117 minutes.

My wife and I took our boys, 4 and 2 (his first theatre movie ) Sat. to see it, we loved it, I'll have to say it is now one of my favorite Pixar movies, I'm guessing the LFE will be awesome when it comes to DVD because the movie had loads of it. Maybe I'm odd but I'm truly in heaven when I hear the exicted laughs and clapping of my kids and all the kids in the theatre. I smile everytime I think of it

Need to see it soon.

Heh, whenever I am sitting in a movie theater where some really high dynamic scene comes on, I have to wince becauce the highs are so brittle and everything is so compressed. Have yet to find a theater that is close to as good as my axioms .

I took my neice and nephew this weekend as well, and also thought it was an excellent movie. Definitely up there with the best of the genre!

Before the movie was even wrapping up, I decided I had to have it on DVD to hear it at it's best! It looked great on the big screen though!

I guess I will have to go see it too.

From the reviews I have been reading, there were a few that didnt think much of it. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/10004076-cars/
