Hi all, I came across this Velodyne beast when I saw it in one of my HiFi magazines....you thought the EP600 was big...this mamouth weighs almost 400lbs!!! I bet the EP 5 and 600's Axiom's still could go toe to toe with it... besides who the heck is gonna move that thing for you!!! It would have a very very low WAF (wife acceptance factor). http://www.velodyne.com/velodyne/products/specs/DD_1812_Sign.html

De Nada. Your link leads to the specs of the 1812. The photo link I posted leads to the web page for the 1812. Both have value. 82 INCHES! Whos says size doesn't matter?

I just found out this beast costs around $10,000! This would make quite an ugly additon to anyone's home theater especially as it stands taller than my M60's!

"Camel Toe?" Is that something like athletes foot?

You could actually pick-up three EP600's, an SMS-1 to manage the LFE distribution, and a Velodyne DD18, have immensely better sound and spend less than list price for this beast. Not only that, but you could actually move these units around with far less effort. Rats! Someone woke me from my dream. Where am I?
