Anyone using onee of these, I'm thinking about possibly getting one. On my projector I'm getting scrolling lines, and I can't exactly figure out what it is, I hav lived in 3 different places since I got my projector and gone though 2 processors, and I still get the rolling lines, ground loop possibly? (from cable box) but I get no hum in any of my speakers including subwoofer..

thanks!

Not sure if the Monster will help, but if you decide to buy one this is a good price Monster

homedad, thats actualy who i was going to buy from, but just though their website directly, that will save me some money, thanks
the projector is working just fine, HD content no problem at all, just when i play a dvd, same kind of interconnects between the DVD player and the cable box, both dvd and cable box pluged into the same surge supressor, so same ground, the projector and subwoofer are on seperate outlet together though? but both have a surge protector also.... dont know....

I would look a little harder for your problem before buying the Monster. I'm just not sure that it will solve your problem and you may be spending money that you don't need to.
Of course, I am of the opinion that 99.99999% of the people in the U.S. and Canada do not need anything that cleans up their AC prime power. It is good enough as delivered to your meter.

I bought a Monster Power HTS 1000 clean power powerstrip, and I was totally amazed at the difference it made.
I don't understand about clean or dirty power, really, but what I DO know is that it made my amplifier sound clean with zero hiss. I used to be able to hear a hiss come out of my amp when I turned it up very loud. I used to be able to switch inputs to an unsed one, and turn the volume way up, and there would be a hiss. Once I hooked up everything to the Monster HTS 1000, it remains dead silent all the way up to 0db on my Yamaha. I don't know what, or why, but it made my system sound better.

yeah i know rat, its not a power problem dont think its a ground loop problem either, just dont know what the hell is going on.. only have problem when the dvd player is the input source.. tried disconnecting the cable input, to see if i had a ground loop there.. nope same problem, only thing i can mabe think of is that since the dvd player doesnt have a 3rd ground prong thats where the problem lyes.. i havent bought anything yet, and probably wont for a while. just trying to figure somthing out.
ElTorrente, you chould have had a ground loop and didnt even know about it.

I bought a lesser model, the 5100 for $250, just so I could get everything plugged into the same wall outlet and take care of hum issues. It works fine. I don't know that I could say that anything sounds any better. I like the meter on the front.

bugbitten, did you buy that from an authorized dealer? mind sharing where you got it from at that price
i have been reading up on monster products, and if you buy a powerconditioner from a nonauthorized dealer evidently monster wont honor the warintee.

Maybe you could "borrow" a dvd from a friend and see what this different dvd does. I would be sure that the "test" dvd had the 3 prong connector.
Ground loop problems can be EXTREMELY difficult to solve. I wish you luck!!!!
