7300 IIRC??? Beats the hell out me?? It's just a 7300 for all I know. I bought it about six months ago if that means anything. I'll give HK a holler and see what the firmware thing is all about.

OK, I figured it out. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong (still haven’t read the instructions) but I swapped the Panny 900’s component inputs from Component 1 to Component 2 and the OSD works via component input now. Heck for that matter, nothing worked on the Component 1 input. Guess I better start reading that stinking manual. The remote doesn’t have but a couple dozen buttons, I thought I could figure it out on my own. I’m feeling like a dumbass now.

Be careful; reading manuals of any type results in demerits on your man card. The demerits double if the manual is HT related.
