Well, I finally took the plunge and ordered up a 60-500 7.1 system in HG cherry.
I want to thank everyone at Axiom for their help. J.C. was very patient with my many emails.
Supposedly the ETA is 4 weeks or less, hopefully less.

Welcome, Jon, and congrats on the new system. The deal on the HG Cherry has been very tempting.

Just unpacked and setup this weekend. Fantastic product and
support. HG cherry finish matched floor and wife is pleased.
Pictures available at: http://picasaweb.google.com/hanley.john/NewSpeakers
Any placement suggestions welcome. Next project is to replace old tube TV.

HG Cherry is rapidly becoming my new favorite finish. How closely the speakers match your floor is uncanny. You're one lucky man -- and with a happy wife, you're doubly lucky.

Thanks for the pictures!

Thanks for the pictures, those speakers really look great in that room. One suggestion if you haven't already done it, throw a rug down to help with accoustics.

Correct me if I am wrong, but those look like M80's...did Axiom mix up the order?!?!

Hmmm...mabey I should order M60's as well....

Wow!

Makes me want to drive my system back to Axiom to see if they would HG it.

My original post said m60's, but I changed the order to
M80's and I'm glad I did.

That is a rather large pc monitor you got there...

The HG Cherry looks pretty cool. They do match the floors like Peter said.

Hey Michael, if you check his pictures out, it looks like he may already have a throw rug, just hard to see, I was thinking the same thing. Reflections would be bad with no floor rug.

No, no rug yet. Just 5 months in the house and still lots
to do. A rug is on the list. I do find some boomy bass
from the EP500 and I'm hoping a rug will help with
reflections. I may move the sub between the left front and the TV. Everything was dialed in using DVE disk and SPL meter. Actually that "PC Monitor" has an excellent picture
and will most likely be around a while. My first priority was
audio, next is video. I watched the X-Men Last Stand and the
surround from the QS8's was so good as to be erie.

Actually I was only kidding about the television. I'm using a 34" philips hdtv. Not so big at all. Someday I would like to get a front projector with a big ol honikin' screen.

Wow - it's a perfect match with the floors! That system looks fantastic in your room! I'm so pleased you like the system.
