I purchased a pair when I moved to a house where there was no way of mounting on the walls. They are expensive but once I had unpacked and assembled them I felt I was getting my money's worth. Here are the initial thoughts I posted at the time : http://www.axiomaudio.com/boards/showfla...true#Post126962

Yes, it is somewhat expensive and yes, it is worth every penny in terms of the quality. I've seen other speaker stands and they're more flimsy than the FMS-QS. I didn't put any additional weight in the FMS as they're already very stable. One of the FMS that I originally got was defective though, but it was taken care of with one call to Axiom. They sent me a new one without even asking me to return the defective one. Now I have one defective FMS sitting in my garage. Oh well, maybe it would do good as spare parts somehow.
