I think if you pick up a new TV (new LCD 37" Viewsonics are at Costco right now for $999 and provide an excellent picture for a great price. My friend picked up the 32" version for $799, we watched LOTR and the picture was excellent. I heard as well (after much research about the 37" version at costco) that it has a better picture and can handle Standard Def content from cable really well, better than the 32" version.

And an EP500, you'll have a dream theatre man.

Nothing smaller than a 50" will do for a home theater. I did notice the 42" is also available for $1900....tempting...
