I don't have very many, but here are my favorites:
Metallica - Black Album (I'd kill for Master of Puppets though) Queensrych - Empire Eagles - Hotel California Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
I have Opeth Ghost Reveries in 5.1 (not DVD audio), this band was made for 5.1

My car came with a DVD Audio setup which is pretty cool. My favs are:
Eagles - Hell Freezes Over Peter Frampton - Frampton Comes Alive Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Tom Cochrane - Trapeze Steely Dan - Gaucho
The re-master on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is outstanding. I used to have that one on vinyl as a kid as well as Frampton Comes Alive. Both were very well done. Gaucho is done in DTS which makes the background vocals really stand out.

Ben, as you know, DVD-A has been far from a commercial success and relatively few are available. Several excellent ones that I'd suggest are: The Planets ; Swan Lake ; Mussorgsky collection ; Sibelius Violin Concerto ; Shostakovich Symphony No. 7 .

The new Doors remastered DVD-A editions are amazing.
I love The Who's Tommy and REM "Automatic for the People" as well.

Shania Twain's Up!!!!
If the 19 catchy songs with some neet effects in 5.1 don't make you want this one. The fact the the "Forever And For Always" video is included should make this on the top of every mans list. Even better if you own a projector and screen.
BTW this album also had good wife appeal too!!!

There's more than 5??
I have a Denon 2200 that plays DVDA and SACD, got it over 3 yrs ago for around $500. In hindsight, I wish I bought a tube CD and one for good video, like the Oppo's now. There's so few DVDA and SACDs that I like that it was a waste for me to even tread that format war.
That being said, the Eagles Hotel California is good. Norah Jones too but can't recall if that's only SACD.

The Doors : Perception It was just released in November. All six studio albums remastered and mixed for 5.1 DVD-Audio format. Each album comes with two discs: the redbook version and the DVD-A/DD/DTS version. Between this set and the Beatles: Love DVD-A, Q4 2006 has been really strong for multi-channel music.

It's kinda funny- Rumours and Toys in the attic were amoung the first 5 albums I bought on LP as a kid, and were also among the first 5 hi-rez discs I bought as an adult.Toys in the attic is actually sacd, but for all I know there's a dvd-a that I'm unaware of. I can reccomend both- Required listening for you youngsters who've never heard real music built with care by gifted craftspeople.

I can hontestly say I enjoy hearing Sweet Emotion by the "boys from boston" (actually NH), just as much as Beethoven's 7th symphony. Both are quite amazing.
