Have you tried any of the Virtual Console games? I'm thinking about getting Mario 64 for my wife. Also I've noticed that they have NEC Turbographx games!! There's a few titles that I used to play that I wouldn't mind getting. I'll have to get a gamecube controller to be able to play most of them though.
You do know that you only need the GCN controller to play cube games on the WII otherwise you can just use the classic controller, especially if you plan on getting Turbografix16 games, as a few of those need the classic controller to work. The GCN controller will work pretty much all other games though, especially Nintedo games. I found the Classic controller nicer for SM64 as the 'Z' button is available for left or right hands.
I just finished SM 64 and my 3 year old is hooked on it. We have to play it at least once a day. I plan on downloading Starfox 64 next also have the original super mario and pinball for the NES as well as A Link to the Past, which I am almost done as well --- who needs sleep.
My 6 year old wants Sonic - secret rings, for his birthday in 2 weeks, so that should be fun.

That's it. If I win the computer speakers I might have to trade them for a Wii..... Scratch that. I don't even have a TV right now.

Geez, we better mock while the mocking is good.
Peter doesn't even have a TV!! Ha ha ha ha ha!
Wait, is not having a TV even legal? Can't you get some government assistance or something?
We got the Sonic game - it's pretty fun.
My son got some "Rampage" thing, too. He really likes it.

Maybe he's preparing for this: http://www.tvturnoff.org/.In theory, I agree w/ the sentiment. Unfortunately, people would have to pry my Tivo remote from my cold dead hand before I give up my Lost, Heroes and 24 even for one week.

Wait, wait, wait. With Tivo, there's no "giving up." There's only postponement. The theory in my selling the 32" Sony CRT is that it would give us more active family time -- it has -- and that it would accelerate the purchase of a wall-mountable flat panel TV. Whether or not that part will actually work is unknown. When it does happen -- and it will! -- we're going to also mount curtains on the wall to hide the TV when it's not it use. Ideally, I'd also get W22s and a W100 and keep them behind a(n acoustically transparent) curtain, too.
