Just wondering of those that have the Beech, how does it look in your room?. The online pics to me make it look less than impressive, but I think that shade best blends with my clear coated pine trim around my rec/HT room.
I'm about to place an order for a pair of M22's. I'm leaning toward the beech finish, but just want to hear from some owners if they still like it or not.
Thanks,

ctown, I have the M40s in Mansfield Beech. For my eyes, they do not have the wow factor, but that is not necessarily bad--they blend in quite well with some beech Ikea bookshelves. It is a "polite" finish that should work well with a variety of decors.
You know, give Axiom a call and have them ship you a sample. The money you spend on the sample can be used towards the purchase of the speakers.

Yeah, I'm not looking for the wow factor at all, but want to avoid regretting the finish.
The black looks like Home Depot mdf shelving to me. The maple is too bleached white for my liking. I like the Boston Cherry, but really don't have anything that dark in the room where they will eventually end up.
If the Beech doesnt look cheap or cheezy, then it will probably fit well in the living room currently with the oak hardwood floor and later when I move to the knotty pine trimmed rec room. I'm leaning towards the Beech, but the Cherry looks nice.
Anybody got any pics of Beech in their homes??

I've got a sample with the light gold grill and it looks just like the image on the computer. Of course, I can change the tint (darker or lighter) by tilting the LCD panel up or down, but the color is spot on. Grain texture is realistic enough, but one can tell it's not real wood. There are no visible seams on the sample, like it's shrink wrapped or something. My mains and sub will be this color. Quite a pleasant change from black or cherry being the only choices from other speaker co's. I've got a light maple w/ tan grill sample on order now.
Check out the custom vinyl and wood shop, maple in buttercup is super close the the mansfield beech, at least on the computer!
Good luck!

Mine are pretty high up on the wall, so you don't really have much to compare them to, but pics are at http://homepage.mac.com/schuyler_carlile/AV2/PhotoAlbum5.htmlThe M80s are not up there yet.

I just purchased Epic60 in the Mansfield Beech finish look and the comment from my wife was they blend nicely in our family room and do not look out of place (after she got over the shock of speaker size). We have light green walls and have oak staircase from the second floor and the speakers are close to the shade on the stairs.

I had mansfields for two years and liked the color very much, actually I thought it looked rich. I currently own Ebony which is best for my HT room.

Sirquack, nice pic. The beech looks better to me without the grills on. With a black grill I think there is too much contrast and it looks kind of 70's to me.
Kcarlisle, the cherry M50's and VP100 with the black grill on look nice and rich, but not overstated, while matching with the TV. The QS4's, to my eye have that contrasting light finish with dark grill I was talking about.
I'm now leaning towards the cherry if the wife is adamant about having the grills on, otherwise the beech would fit nicely. My RPTV and amp are all black, so black grills on would match well.
Thanks for putting up with the dumb question and giving some good feedback. I feel like a chick worrying about the colour of speakers, but there are too many choices.

Oh, those aren't cherry, those are Vermont Maple. OK, so it looks fairly similar to cherry, but... I much prefer the black grilles to the tan ones.
Too many choices? Obviously you haven't visited the Custom Shop!

Oh man.....vermont maple? I still think I'm leaning to cherry, but I know what you mean. To me the tan grill on beech reminds me of that guy that shows up to the prom with the rented white tuxedo and white shirt. (ICE CREAM MAN!!!)
I prefer a little contrast in colours, but that is just me.

I'd order several samples to be sure. I went with the cinnamon beech and burnt sienna grilles...they look purty...

I bought tan on beech for one simple reason - so I'd never be tempted to put the grilles on... I do leave the woofer grilles on the QSs, though. I like the way it looks... lets the dark tweeters draw the attention.
Still looking for photos of Mansfield Beech? I could take some if you wanted.

I think I am fine for pics, thanks.
We like the look of Beech with grills off, but like the look of Cherry with grills on or off, so gonna order up a pair of M22's in Cherry to start.
Thanks all for the feedback......and Jakewash for the audition.

You are most welcome. Glad you liked them enough to buy a set. I do agree the light maple is too light, I say it is like bleached oak when I describe it to other folks that haven't seen them. Maybe a name change for that color could be bleached maple.

Mark, thanks for the pics. They look much nicer in your room than what I was seeing on the Axiom site. What size sub is that in the pic??
I placed an order yesterday for the M22's in Boston Cherry, so just playing the waiting game now from the factory outlet.
