This question is for anyone has experience with the MCACC feature (automatic calibration) of the Pioneer Elite receivers: Do you use the MCACC feature and then leave it set that way? Or do you go back and adjust it manually?

I just received my Pioneer Elite VSX-49Txi, but I haven't set it up yet as my HT room is still being finalized (wall painting). The manual has both auto and manual surround set ups.

I have the (lowly) 45TX. I run the MCACC, which sets my front speakers as "large." I then manually set them as "small." You don't have to rerun the MCACC, since it will automatically reconfigure itself when you re-adjust the speaker settings. I do not tweak the level/delay/EQ parameters given by MCACC at all -- in fact, I once tried and quickly learned that it is darn hard to beat the MCACC.
