Often the topic comes up about how much fun it is to move a sub around the room looking for that prime location. When your talking about an ep500 or ep600, it can be a great workout.
I was wondering if anyone has replaced the standard 1/4-20 threaded rubber feet for castors with the same thread. I would think it would be much easier to just roll the sub around versus picking it up all the time?

Randys back has discovered the joys of EP600 placement tweaking.

Randy, even more better, the force of the driver movement might allow the sub to roll itself to its own preferred position.

hmmm, you may be onto something John. Imagine a sub with built in SPL calibration, and a Roomba vacuum like navigation system to find the prime location. If you decide to market such an animal, I want in.

You could put the sub on a piece of cardboard and slide around with much less effort than picking it up, But I do like the idea of castors.

NICE! But the cardboard idea is probably less expensive.

funny stuff Rick, I can tell you the weight is not the problem, it is just the ackwardness of the size of the ep600. Here ya go.

I don't know how well the engine hoist would look with your decor Randy???
Seriously....I'm thinking of a couple of ways that you may do something to help move the big ol' 600 around. More than likely once you get the sub calibrated and dialed in to perfection you'll probably not move it again for quite sometime, right? Well my first option would be to use a well padded furniture dolly with straps or you can go down to your local welding shop and have 'em make up a stand with something like 2"x angle iron made into a square frame *with* caster wheels and put a couple of 1" think plywood cut to fit inside of the framework ... wouldn't take 'em but a few minutes and I bet it wouldn't cost too terribly much.
