Stidd - due to the shape/layout of our room, I've got 3 QS4s across the back wall. While not optimal placement, the QS-series do a very good job back there.
You should have no problems.

Stidd: I have essentially the same situation regarding the tight room. I, too, have found the QS8s forgiving and think you'll do fine on the back wall.

Mark, I love the custom plates for the QS8. Did you create those yourself? Are the plates bolted to the wall and the QS bolted to the plate?

Yes....
I have an old home and was concerned about using the "T" bracket alone on the brittle plaster (the QS8s really are heavier than you would expect!). The plates allowed me to "spread out" the weight a bit. In most lighting circumstances, they match the Beech finish on the Axioms pretty well.
