I am on a somewhat tight budget, thinkign of going for with the m22's for the front, vp100 for the center, and have an Athena P2 sub. My questions is for the surrounds. Would I miss much and be totally disappointed with the QS4's compared to the QS8's? Should I go with a pair of somethign like M3's instead?
This is an apartment system, so it cant be monsterously loud, and I am guessing the room is around 250-300 sq ft.
Thanks for the advice!

I think the only reason you might be disappointed with the QS4s is if you had both the QS8s and the QS4s to compare. Naturally, the QS8 would sound better, but I'm sure the QS4s sound great in their own right -- probably much better than many other surrounds on the market.
If you have the money, get the QS8s. If you don't, get the QS4s. When you're on a budget, sometimes it really is that easy.

In a room of your size and at the levels you will listen at, I find it hard to believe that you will be dissapointed with the QS4s. Save your money and rent DVDs.

I would suggest bumping to the VP150 rather than the VP100 though, if possible due to finances. I think you may have buyer's remorse if you go with the VP100, as the consensus is the VP150 is noticeably better. You would probably notice less of a difference going from the QS4's to the QS8's. Good luck.

I agree with gem, upgrade the center to the VP150 and stick with the QS4's. The difference in price from the VP100 - VP 150 is less than the difference in the surrounds, with a more important improvement for home theater (IMHO).
