I was playing around with the custom finishes and looking through the speaker galleries and I have to say that I love the Cherry Chestnut with Semi-Gloss finish. Any votes for another finish? Base/Custom Vinyl? or wood???

I've been doing the same thing. I am on the cusp of ordering some custom wood finish speakers, probably a set of M50's, a VP100, and 4 QS4's. I ordered a couple of the samples and just got an email saying they're on the way. Once the finish passes the WAF test, I'll be on the website ordering them. My favorite so far is the Cherry wood with the Cinnamon or Nutmeg , but the cabinetry in the house is all in that medium cherry color, so I'm a little biased.

For me it is Natural Cherry- but also a little biased. In the vinyl people seem to really like the high gloss cherry since it really shows off the speakers.

Any finish you choose will look great. They all do. It's just a personal preference. If you are sure you'll be ordering some speakers, order some finish samples as the cost will be credited to your speaker order later. This is the best way to go if you are unsure.

I keep trying to tell myself "I do NOT need another pair of speakers." But I have to tell you a pair of M3's in real wood would look real nice in the bedroom.

Can't do it though.
