Well went on ahead and ordered a AVR-2307CI from 6ave, they gave me a pretty good price and they are authorized. Guy on the phone said it might actually be the transformer with age the solder joints go. Well whatever is causing the issue lets hope they are gone with the new reciever =).

Seems like everyone's a pro when you ask them for help I reckon!

There is probably nothing wrong with your old reciever or cables. If it mostly only happens on games and you can recreate it by doing certain things (i assume in the game) then process or elimination narrows it down to a particular game. or perhaps your gaming machine.

Anyhow, I'm sure you'll like the Denon more anyway. So no worries

Well I did hook up another reciever and the problem went away. I also hooked up my 360 direct to my TV and used its speakers and again the problem went away. I really think it has something to do with the reciever. As I mentioned also noticed a poping when using my test tones. Oh well at least its an excuse to get a new reciever for my bedroom. Can't wait to hear 5.1 PCM =).

Well I finally got the reciever and everything is going okay except for one thing. My left surround (QS4) keeps coming up out of phase? I checked the wiring and everything is alright. For the hell of it I switched the polarity and it went through the auto setup no problems. I am totally lost as all the other QS4s are coming up fine. Any ideas?

Well with a little experimenting (I got to stop being so quick to posting questions) it seems that it just has to do with the room structure as I tried moving the mic in different locations speakers would come in and out of phase. The best location was right in front of my chair, orginally had it on my chair where my ears would be. Also noticed the distances are off by a few feet, so I guess I will just do it manually. Oh well.
