Ugh, robbed again. I guess you need multiple entries in order to have a chance. See LT61 humour explanation below.

Woo hoo !! Not only did I win (and yes, one could argue that insider information was used ), the numbering scheme hints strongly at a family of amplifiers. I'm glad I held off on adding a power amp, although I still miss my old Marantz power amp with the nice meters. It's not clear that having a rack of power meters would really add anything to the home theater experience but it's nice to think about.

See LT61 humour explanation below.
That would be an incorrect assumption

Congrats all. I had a feeling my logic would turn on me. Thinking they picked a "Name" for the M3 outdoors speaker. I didn't even give consideration to the fact they were based on a numbering scheme already...I though "No, a numbering scheme would be way too obvious...." foiled again! Looks like Christmas before I get the QS8's

oh wow! This is a pleasant morning read...thanks for the gift Axiom! I am pleased that I could be apart of the naming scheme for the new super powerful axiom amp. I agree that a numbered scheme should be used as well. I like the name very much and the great thing about it is that it can be very easily adapted to other amps in the family. (Perhaps, an A525-3? useful for 2 channel listening because of the amps design to utilize the full power on 2 channels, or for those that have a 5.1 system requiring a separate for the centre channel and mains it could be very usefull...) I can dare to dream...

Elegant and elegance obviously refer to its clean, minimalistic yet stalwart styling while eloquent and eloquence refer to the the way it provides its smooth, clean unrelenting power.
I was close. (ED14.8 this model)
Congrats to the winners!

I see what's going on. For such a high-end amp, Axiom is following the high-end naming trends of automobiles. The model names/numbers of most high-end cars look like an alphabet soup:
Mercedes S600, SLK, etc BMW 545i, Z4, etc Audi A8, TT, etc Porsche 911 Acura RL, TL, CL etc Lexus LS460 Infiniti G35
Contrast this with the low-to-moderate priced end of the spectrum, where most everything has a more traditional model name, even if it's made up: e.g. Corolla, Sentra, Fusion, Durango ...
So while the amp's name is not at all sexy or interesting, it will psychologically have some serious cachet that makes one take it seriously...
Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.
