This amp goes for $1699 what are the modules price.
When you buy this, is it just the chassis for $1699 and then you have to buy the modules. Or does it come with the 7 modules?

$300 for chassis and $200 for each 200 watt module so a 5 channel would be $1300. $230 for the 2x75 module.

I may be a dollar off per module.

$1699 is for 7 channel including modules with shipping included this month.

Ok
Cool now just to move to the US for a few months
Well ,that sounds great I was thinking of the Outlaw Mono blocks at $325 per, which really is about $500 after duty/taxes/brokerage etc.
But, if I spend $2100 plus $300 for the chassis, as I would have to piece it together over time and the it would be closer to $3500 for us Canadians, I maybe better to get the Axiom ( whatever ) amp, as I can put it on Layaway if it doesn't get sold out.
Wonder which is going to be better, SirQuack has good praise for this product and it looks good and I like the modular design, may be a tossup

Axiom man,

If you are a current owner, I really would wait until Axiom releases their amp, all owners (typically) get 20% off all their new products before they are released....

Axiom Man, Hello!

I own the Emo "big dogs" and the m80's. I for one highly recommend the MPS1. My 80's are just friggin stunningly fantastic in every way possible, it sounds that good. I have to get the "real 80's man" over to my house so you lot don't think I'm full of BS
The 5 channel version will run you around $1900 CAD delivered. A bargain.

Chris

Yep, Chris had contacted me for an audition of my 80's before he bought his. Unfortunately, he was impatient, couldn't wait, and ordered them ear unheard anyway.

Since he's got gobs of power, it's now me wanting to go audition his.....

If I get some help, I may haul my EP600 over there to compare against his Paradigm.

Hi Shawn, LOL, impatient? yup, thats me!

I suspect your EP600 will kill my PW2200 and then eat it for breakfast. However, the HT is only 20x14' so I think the 600 would just be too much for the room and my neighbours .

Anyway, I am off till Wed next week, if you have some time to drop by, just call me or send a pm if you don't have my number. Would love to have you over to see what you think of the systems sound.

Regards, Chris

Troy - from where you are, it's just under 2000km's and a little over 20 hours drive. And on the way, you could stop at Axiom for a plant visit.

Nothing going on right now, but if you wait until October, we have the largest Oktoberfest outside of Germany.

I'm heading out to my sisters (just outside Halifax) later this summer. Let me know what you want me to bring along. If I survive tax season I may end up with an EP600 by then.

I think Chesseroo may be in the area as well.

Hiya Bridgman, If you ever come out this way be sure to let me know, would love to have you over for a little or long listening session or maybe a DVD concert on the big screen? or a little Master and Commander perhaps?...etc, etc.

regards, Chris

Hey Cool. I never noticed where you are from. I used to spend time every Summer in Bridgewater at my cousin's place in the late 80s. Great spot. Hooked my first Salmon there! Notice I said, hooked not caught... In fact, I still suck at fly fishing to this day.

Oops sorry, fell into the thread hijacking trap.

The 600 belongs to another board member, but he did mention that he might have too many subs right now. If I survive tax season and he *still* has too many subs I may make arrangements to have a 600 join the menagerie here.

My daily drive to work is a Dodge Magnum (no, it doesn't have a Hemi) with an inverter in the back so should be no problem running the 600 on the drive out to Halifax. You think that little punk in the Civic has too much bass ?

You call that a subwoofer ? THIS is a subwoofer !!

KlipschGuy, with that new CD player of yours I guess I *have* to drop by some time soon.

haha, you will have to get a inverter and hook the 600 up to the stereo and drive by a few kids.
you may save some gas mileage

Murph,
yes, nice little town although many, many changes since the 80's.....We got a WalMArt last year
many new subdivisions, condo's unbelivable how much this town has grown and the Lahave river most likely where you caught the Salmon, sorry hooked.... is well still the Lahave about the only thing that hasn't changed
Michelin is 3 times the size now and many more people I think the pop. has dbl since the 80 seriously.

Axiom man,

Something I am considering which is totally stupid because I don't need another stupid piece of AV equipment...is the LPA-1. It will suit my needs right now with my M22s, and I can actually put each one of my centre channel bookshelves on their own channel (with a split RCA cable).

And if/when I get M80s, I can bi-amp them for a total of 450 watts per M80 at 4ohm (LPA-1 is rated at 225watts for 4ohm, perhaps I am wrong because this number doesn't seem right).

Just a thought, its only $499, how can you go wrong?
