Well gang,
I finally brought home a pair of B&W 602s3 speakers and this is what I call a disappointment. You guys were right--they are boomy and power hungry. My Pioneer sdf3k's are actually smoother and more natural sounding and fit better with my subwoofer. The 602's are going back to the store. Who would have thought it. It may be that I just prefer the sound of floorstanders. I owe a big apology to CR.

Yeah, i was not at all impressed when I compared B&Ws to Hales in the same price range a few years ago. Of course, I found the B&Ws to be way too bright, but I'm sure I was listening to a different model.
