Just bought my first speaker today!

A VP150 v2!

Just wanted to share my excitement hehe I can't wait to set it up and hear it! What do you guys think of it as a first purchase? The room I'm using is about 10 by 15 feet....8 foot ceilings...

Congratulations on the purchase, and welcome. You'll have to share your impressions after you've set it up. What does the rest of your system consist of? How far do you plan on going with Axiom if you like the sound?

This is how I started too. I replaced my central speaker with a VP-150v2 in part to "test" Axiom products at a reasonable price and with something that could be returned (as if anyone would do that with these babies!) without too much difficulty. Well... I had a House DVD in and I just pressed play. 30 seconds of Hugh Laurie from a VP-150v2 was enough to convince me! Right after that, I replaced my surround speakers with 2QS-8 (even greater improvement, although much more subtile) and 10 days ago, I ordered and received my new sons: M80ti Left and M80ti Right (or, as their are nicknamed, Junior-L and Junior-R). Now my cheap Kenwood subwoofer is unplugged and within a week or so, I shall order myself a EP-500... and then maybe 2 more QS-8...

Gratz!! When I replaced my old stuff with Axioms, one of many impressive things that happened was that I could actually hear the dialog clearly in movies so I was able to put the remote back on the coffee table where it belongs and stop fidgeting with the volume the whole time. I bet you will love the vp150.

When i replaced my little Technics stereo setup with Axiom M22s, i could finally hear everything clearly.
When i exchanged the M22s for M60s, i could hear everything clearly and robustly as well.
