I'm thinking about getting the M60's due to the size of my room. However, due to the speaker location in the room, it may be a tight fit. I've been told these speakers need room to breathe and should be placed 2 ft from the wall. That's a lot of space I really don't have. Is this true? Anyone have these speakers, and if so, how from the wall do you have them placed? Thanks.

When I had the M60's I had them around 6 inches from the back wall and they were fine, the M80's in my case required about 9 inches.

I kinda mis my m60's, but love my m80's. I also had them about 6 or so inches from the wall and they performed awesome, killer base.

Yeah, it looks nice. But even more impressive are the low frequencies produced... sometimes called bass.

Mine are about 9" away from the rear and sound great.

About 6 inches here too, but that's mostly because that allows the front to be fairly even with the entertainment center. Thus, improved WAF I've experimented with various distances from the entertainment center, wall, and different degrees of toe-in. Although those changes yield subtle differences, what I've really learned is that they sound fantastic no matter where I place them. Enjoy.
