Hi all!
In the spirit of all things Axiom, and not to rub it in at all (neener, nee --- wait, I take that back), I just wanted to put out the word that the medic8r clan has made reservations in Orlando (Disney's Saratoga Springs resort) for February 10 - 14, 2008. That's a Sunday thru Thursday, and there's a good chance that we will extend the stay a little, maybe through the rest of the week of Valentine's Day at a different location (closer to Universal).
I have enjoyed meeting up with and traveling with Axiomites on several occasions so far, and I hope that this will continue. So if anyone has been considering a trip to Orlando, come on down and help me tell the theme park powers that be how much their sound quality would improve if they replaced all their outdoor speakers with Algonquins.

Good ol' Snakeeyes, I remembered that you were a Disney buff from some earlier postings and/or PMs. Long time no see!
I'm glad you replied or else I was going to post a .wav of cricket noise here.
We are going with friends who are DVC members and who have a spot at Old Key West. They are eager to try out Saratoga Springs. There will be 6 adults and 2 kids in a Grand Villa. Talk about being glad to have friends in the DVC! They hosted us before and never take any money, so this time we insisted on paying their annual dues.
So, if you or anyone else is in the area, maybe we could meet up at a park or for dinner. If not, there's always Tuttlefest '08, exact details forthcoming.

Sounds cool. We go to Florida almost every other year. Next year isn't it though as we were there this past June.
Have fun! And if you want any tip/tricks for the Orlando area/parks, let me know, and I'll pass on what I have learned over the years.

ahh the grand villa in SSR is awesome it is sort of what sold us on SSR even though we may never actaully use one. We stayed in a 2 bedroom in the grandstand last june. and it was awesome we were pretty close to the main house and the grandstand pool/bar area was awesome. we stayed there after we stayed at grand floridian for five days and disney cruise for 4 days. it was a last minute decision to relax before the drive back to NY we ended staying 2 nights and did not go to any parks. Very relaxing. Thats cool you paid there annual dues i would not take money from my friends/family either but paying the dues is a nice offer by you and you still get amazing value. have fun i def wish i was going in feb. Well, I will see what I can do. But our digs will certainly be more modest.

Now that's what I want to hear! We've stayed in a grand villa in OKW before, with the cavernous living room and all the trimmings. Looking forward to some real R&R.
You have stayed in style if you've done the Grand Floridian. It looks awesome.
Tom, I'll buy you some Honey Sesame Chicken at Nine Dragons in Epcot. It's our current fave.

Hey Snakeyes, haven't seen you post in a little while. Have you been recovering from the great collapse of 2007? Couldn't happen to a nicer team. I know we are down one nothing, but we're in with plenty of games to go, so GO PHILS!!

I know we are down one nothing, but we're in with plenty of games to go, so GO PHILS!! Ahhh. Yeah that did suck. \I usually root for the team that beat my team to say that we may have been 2nd if they go all the way. But I am making an exception for the Phillies and I am loving the fact that they are down 0-2 right now and if they get swept will really raise my spirits ( as much as they can be raised after the way the season ended). but goodluck....
