Very nice looking room Jeff, great job. I'm also a big fan of the wall sconces, they look extremely nice.

I'm a little curious if your 80s are equidistant from the back and side walls? Might be just the camera angle.

Awesome setup!

ctown, it's just a fancy name for the lights on the wall.

I like the Denon so far. A couple of kinks I'm trying to figure out:

1. It drives the M80's without issue, so those that have posted threads regarding the subject, I can tell you I have not had any issues at all.
2. The video scaler is what I'm trying to get a handle on. I have everything ( except xbox 360 ) connected HDMI into the amp and then 1 HDMI directly to a Pioneer Kuro Elite TV. the Denon and Pio both have upscalers, so I'm having issues with SD signals getting upconverted and/or keeping 4:3 aspect with bars or stretch-o-vision. If you're watching HD, then it's awesome PQ.
3. THE GUI is pretty easy to figure out; menu driven - hiarchial type system, so once you figure out where all the settings are located, it's pretty simple. The manual sucks, so be prepared to spend time playing around in the GUI to figure it all out.
4. As for sound quality, it's a nice AMP. I've had a Denon before this one and it's pretty much the same sound.
5. I have the Axiom M80's, 150cc, ep500 sub and the os8's on the wall in a 5:1 set up. Sound is fantastic. My room is 13' x 24' x 17' vaulted ceilings. TV wall is the 13' wall. When I get more cash I'm planning to add maybe 2 more os8's or possibly and 2nd ep500 ( doubt my wife will go for that idea though ). This room is my MAN ROOM as I just built a new house and this was supposed to be the game room and I had the builder close off the windows and add 7' double doors at the back. The wall sconses I bought online from a place called "lightingshowplace.com". They have a ton of selection and pretty good prices.

addional pics of the os8's.

Thanks guys!
Jeff

Thanks, Actually the left front M80 is a little forward. I wanted to spread the 2 apart as much as I could and the only real solution for my equipment is to put it in a rack in the corner. The right side M80 is almost in the corner. I moved it forward a little to compensate for the sound on the right. The Denon has this technology called "audissy" that is basically a microphone with a 30ft cable and you can place it in the room at 5 different seating positions and it will calibrate your sound for you. Basically the speakers make beeps and it knows how far apart, etc.. the only manual settings I made was to adjust the sub. I like a lot of bass when listening to movies, Nascar, etc.. really makes you feel like you are actually there.

WOW , nice pictures I thought those M80s were alot taller
after looking at the pictures ive been proven wrong. I was
thinking about the Epic 80 package but was unsure cause of
the size of my room , I thought my room was small but the
room in the pictures is alot smaller then mine.

yes, the denon has an on screen volume bar when connected via hdmi.

jfdawson; what exactly are you trying to accomplish with the video scaler on the denon?

in a perfect world 1080p on everything. I'm experimenting with setting cause I've noticed that factory default the screen will self adjust. HD football games is where I've noticed it the most. The green on the field with slightly flicker. This may be due to all the 1st and 10 arrows that Fox/CBS/ABC/NBC are doing now and it's not my issue but their's. I just now have a TV that has extremely high detail and I notice little things like the green grass blending and a second later you can see individual blades of grass... This is what I'm trying to figure out.
